Hi, reader!
I recently spent some time with the family at the zoo and we saw some incredible animals, including a grizzly bear. Turns out their bite is so strong they could crush a bowling ball!
With that, welcome to the 49th newsletter! This one is all about ripples.
A poem.
Ripples by Danielle Doby
When you create a difference in someone's life, you not only impact their life, you impact everyone influenced by them throughout their entire lifetime.
No act is ever too small. One by one, this is how to make an ocean rise.
A thought.
A world of small acts surrounds us every day.
You’re late to an appointment, hustling up to a large office building and right as you’re about to grab the door, someone comes from the inside and holds the door open for you with a smile. Their smile puts a smile on your face. You’re still hustling, but you feel lighter. You hop on the elevator with another woman. As the elevator doors are closing you see an elderly couple making their way towards the door. You stick your foot out. The doors shutter and pop back open. You greet them with a smile. The other woman on the elevator observes this small act. Later, she holds the door for a coworker as they enter the office. The elderly couple stops to pick up trash in the hallway. You give a big smile and a sincere “how are you?” to the receptionist.
And on, and on and on it goes. Ripples
What small act can you do today?
A quote.
“Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.”
- Scott Adams (creator of the Dilbert comic)
