Hi, reader!
Our 7-year-old came home and told us a fun fact that I had to share with you: A snowflake takes up to 45-minutes to get from the cloud to the ground.
With that, welcome to the 74th newsletter! This one is all about Hurry (Newsletter #34 was also about hurry.)
A listen.
The Main Thing Podcast - Episode 95
Back in the summer, Skip Lineberg hosted me on The Main Thing Podcast. Skip created a really unique format where he challenged me to share the main thing I've learned in my lifetime, in a condensed fifteen-minute interview.
A thought.
While I know you most likely stopped reading this newsletter immediately and clicked the link to listen to the podcast…
Just in case you haven’t listened, the main thing I’ve learned in my life is to not be in a hurry.
Eliminating hurry has had a monumental impact on my life.
It is why I deprioritize unimportant things.
It is why my calendar is filled with things I’m excited about.
It is why I live in the now more than ever before.
It is why I’m OK with my kids making a mess while they are learning to cook.
It is why I think long-term vs. short-term.
It is why I’ve found so much more joy and contentedness.
It is why I am at peace more than ever before.
It is why I have more margin to connect at a deeper level with those I love.
It is why I simplify my life around the stuff that truly matters.
What would slowing down do for your life?
A quote.
“Hurry is violence on the soul.”
Joy and Content can apply anywhere in our lives. Eliminating hurry has an equally powerful effect on our professional and personal lives.
As always, Clay, your newsletters are dense with valuable ideas that resonate. Absolutely enjoy them.
